Abhishek Banerjee’s Role in Crime Thriller ‘Aakhri Sach’

Actor Abhishek Banerjee, who has garnered significant acclaim for his role in the recently released crime thriller series ‘Aakhri Sach’ on a popular streaming platform, expressed his fascination with unraveling the intricacies of the human psyche through such gripping narratives.

In an interview with IANS, Abhishek shared his perspective, saying, “When working on a thriller, as an actor, you become intrigued by the human mind itself. It’s not always a twisted mind that commits a crime; sometimes, even a perfectly sane individual can commit an act of wrongdoing in a fit of intense emotion.”

He further elucidated his viewpoint with an analogy from the context of warfare, where soldiers, under the directives of war strategists, find themselves in combat situations, often resorting to lethal force against their counterparts.

“Suddenly, a war erupts, and individuals who were seemingly ordinary begin to engage in combat on the battlefield. For me, as an actor, it’s the sheer fascination of delving into the depths of human behavior and understanding what drives someone to commit a crime,” he added.

‘Aakhri Sach,’ featuring Tamannaah Bhatia as an investigative officer tasked with unraveling the mystery behind the tragic suicide of 11 family members, is currently available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
