Actress Navika Kotia, Known for ‘English Vinglish,’ Takes Lead Role in ‘Kyunki… Saas Maa, Bahu Beti Hoti Hai’

Navika Kotia, the talented actress who portrayed Sridevi’s daughter in the acclaimed 2012 film ‘English Vinglish,’ is all set to captivate audiences once again. She’s gearing up to play the character of Kesar in the upcoming television series ‘Kyunki… Saas Maa, Bahu Beti Hoti Hai.’

Described by the show’s creators as “ambitious,” Kesar is a character who masterfully juggles her own aspirations with the dreams of her family, showcasing an unwavering determination.

Hetal, the youngest daughter-in-law, shocks the family by seeking separation, challenging the traditional role of a daughter-in-law. This unexpected development deeply saddens Ambika, the eldest daughter-in-law and the family’s matriarch, as keeping the family united has been her utmost priority.

In a groundbreaking decision aimed at disproving her sister-in-law Hetal’s belief that “Saas kabhi maa, aur Bahu kabhi beti nahi ban sakti” (A mother-in-law can never be a mother, and a daughter-in-law can never be a daughter), Ambika adopts a baby, Kesar, left at the family’s doorstep. She vows to raise Kesar not as a daughter but as a daughter-in-law.
