Assam CM Initiates Talks on Judicial System Modernization

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma engaged in discussions with Union Minister for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal during their meeting on Tuesday. The primary agenda of their conversation revolved around the modernization of Assam’s judicial system.
In a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), it was reported, “CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has paid a courtesy call on Union Minister for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal. There was a detailed discussion on the modernization of the judicial system of Assam.”
Furthermore, Chief Minister Sarma had a separate meeting with Union Minister of State for Electronics and Technology, Rajeev Chandrasekhar. Their discussions encompassed a range of topics, notably focusing on Assam’s new policy concerning semiconductor manufacturing.
In related developments, the Chief Minister met with Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday, where they discussed the complete withdrawal of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) from the northeastern state.
