Bajura Hailstorm Update

Farmers in Wards 6 and 7 are said to be the worst affected. Meanwhile, farmer Birkh Oli stated that farmers injured by hail should be rewarded rather than simply receiving humanitarian assistance.

The affected farmers have complained that the local administration and the Agricultural Knowledge Center Bajura have not made any efforts to gather the information.

Gauri Oli, a farmer, stated that despite the fact that the hailstorm affected 905 families, the rural municipality showed little interest in gathering information about the damage.

Farmers are concerned that they will not receive compensation since the Municipality and the Agricultural Knowledge Center Bajura have shown no interest in gathering information about the damage.

According to ward office surveillance, the damage is worth more than 20 million rupees.
