Coca-Cola Foundation and Maiti Nepal Join Hands

The Coca-Cola Foundation and Maiti Nepal have joined hands to embark on a transformative journey toward sustainable development, community enrichment, and the empowerment of women. This collaborative effort focuses on integrated farming, agricultural training, and agro-tourism as key pillars of change.
As part of this initiative, a dedicated training center will be established to provide essential training to survivors, rural women, and girls who are at risk of trafficking. The primary objective is to create a sustainable economic source for 30 individuals while equipping them with the necessary skills to thrive in the agriculture sector.
In the project’s second year, there are plans to establish a model agro-tourism unit. This unit will not only generate employment opportunities but also allow participants to apply the knowledge they have gained during their training.
Upon completing their training, participants will be connected with local government bodies and banking institutions to secure the funds needed to kickstart sustainable employment ventures in their communities.
This partnership between The Coca-Cola Foundation and Maiti Nepal represents a significant step towards fostering self-reliance, economic growth, and gender empowerment in Nepal.
