Dharan Mayor Urges Residents to Uphold Harmony and Unity Amidst Rising Tensions

Harka Sampang, the mayor of Dharan sub-metropolitan city, has called upon the city’s residents to preserve a spirit of mutual harmony and unity.

Mayor Sampang issued an official statement on Friday, expressing concern about the recent religious and social disputes that have created a heightened sense of sensitivity in Dharan.

In his statement, he reiterated his appeal to all residents of Dharan, emphasizing the importance of maintaining mutual harmony, fostering brotherhood, and upholding unity. His message urged everyone to exercise restraint and remain considerate of the sentiments of all parties, communities, and citizens.

Notably, on the preceding Thursday, former mayors had also released a statement echoing the call for harmony in the city.
