Esha Deol Reflects on Her Career and Regrets

Bollywood veteran Esha Deol, with a career spanning over two decades, has weathered the highs and lows of the industry. Her filmography boasts memorable roles in hits like “Kaal,” “Dhoom,” “Dus,” and “No Entry,” among others. In a recent interview, the actress candidly shared her desire to collaborate once more with two superstar actors and opened up about films she regrets not being a part of.
Regrets: Turning Down “Omkara” and “Golmaal”
During an interview with Zoom, Esha Deol was questioned about any films she regrets declining. She revealed that there were indeed a couple of opportunities that came her way, but for reasons unknown at the time, she passed on them. Among these, she mentioned Vishal Bhardwaj’s “Omkara” and Rohit Shetty’s “Golmaal.” Esha explained, “A couple of them that had come my way. I don’t know for what reason I didn’t do them. Would definitely be the first part of Golmaal, Omkara, and a couple more.” She also praised the female actors who eventually took on those roles, acknowledging their fantastic performances. “But whoever then went on to doing the films, those girls have done fantastically,” she added.
“Omkara,” released in 2006, featured a star-studded cast including Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Vivek Oberoi, and Bipasha Basu. Likewise, “Golmaal,” also from 2006, starred Ajay Devgn, Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Sharman Joshi, and Rimi Sen.
Reuniting with Past Co-Stars
Esha Deol also shared her eagerness to work alongside some of her past co-stars once again. She expressed her enthusiasm for collaborating with Ajay Devgn and Salman Khan, citing her love for working with these accomplished actors. Esha recently reunited with Ajay Devgn in the series “Rudra: The Edge Of Darkness.” In the past, they shared the screen in several films like “Kaal,” “Yuva,” “Main Aisa Hi Hoon,” and more. Her collaboration with Salman Khan occurred in “No Entry.”
