Jeep Accident Kills 2 and Injures Four in Sindhupalchok

Tragedy struck on the Lamosangu-Jiri road section of Sindhupalchok, where a jeep accident claimed the lives of two individuals and left four others injured.

The incident occurred when a Scorpio vehicle with license plate Ba 15 Cha 9370, traveling from Dolakha to Khadichaur, lost control around 3:30 AM and tumbled approximately 300 meters from Ghumti.

The District Police Office in Sindhupalchok confirmed the unfortunate demise of the vehicle’s driver, Uttam Maharjan, Approx. age 36, hailing from Nagarjun Municipality-4, Kathmandu, and Bal Bahadur Khatri, 41, a resident of Bahrabise Municipality-7, Ghumthang, Sindhupalchok.

In response to the accident report, police teams from Lamosanghu, Bolupakhar, and Bahrbise were promptly dispatched for rescue efforts. Medical professionals at Sindhu Sadabahar Hospital in Khadichaur were called upon to provide care to the injured. Tragically, Uttam Maharjan and Bal Bahadur Khatri were declared deceased around 5:30 AM, while the injured individuals received treatment.
