Nothing Launches OS 2.0 Update for Phone (1) Users, Enhancing Features and User Experience

London-based consumer tech brand Nothing has released its highly anticipated OS 2.0 update for Phone (1) users, bringing a host of new features, improved customization options, and enhanced functionality to the device. This update signals a new phase for Nothing’s inaugural smartphone and underscores the company’s commitment to enhancing the user experience for older generation models.
While Nothing OS 2.0 has been available to Phone (2) users since its launch last month, Phone (1) users can now also take advantage of this upgraded software, as per the company’s recent statement. This update is built on Android 13, aligning it with Nothing’s latest device. Additionally, Nothing has introduced a beta OS release based on Android 14, specifically tailored for Phone (1) users.
Notably, Phone (2) users were recently treated to an update labeled Nothing OS 2.0.2a. This particular update placed a strong emphasis on improving camera performance, with enhancements in HDR, low-light scenarios, and facial clarity, according to the company.
Phone (2) introduced the innovative Glyph Interface at the rear of the device, allowing users to access key information at a glance, reducing the need for extensive screen interaction. The revamped Nothing OS 2.0 focuses on utility and minimizing distractions while ensuring a fast and seamless user experience that reflects Nothing’s unique design ethos.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Mobile Platform, the smartphone delivers Nothing’s most premium smartphone experience to date. It boasts a formidable 50MP dual rear camera system equipped with advanced algorithms for exceptional photography and features a stunning 6.7-inch AMOLED display with LTPO technology.
