Two Arrested in Darchula with 6 kg of Hashish, Police Launch Investigation

In a recent operation, the police apprehended two individuals in possession of 6 kilograms and 100 grams of hashish from Shailyashikhar Municipality-3, Darchula. The Sudurpaschim Province Police Office reported that the suspects, identified as 66-year-old Mansingh Thagunna from Mahakali Municipality-4 Khalanga and 70-year-old Gaursingh Thagunna from Naugad Rural Municipality-4, were taken into custody during a patrol check conducted by the area police office in Gokuleswar.

The arrest took place at approximately 1 am on Monday morning, as the police team acted upon their suspicions and carried out the inspection. Both suspects were found carrying the illegal substance concealed in plastic bags.

As the investigation unfolds, the detained individuals will undergo further scrutiny to determine the extent of their involvement in the illicit drug trade. The police remain committed to combating drug-related activities in the region and ensuring the safety and security of the community.
